Product Description


This rugged handheld visual fault locator (VFL) is widely used for fiber optic network maintenance in telecommunications and CATV systems. It is used for troubleshooting of both single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables. With its rugged design, a universal connector and accurate measurement, the visual fault locator detects breaks and micro-bends through jacketed fiber and performs an end-to-end fiber identification easily. Its measurement range is up to 5 km. This VFL is able to examine all kinds of patch cords, ribbons or bunched pigtails in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks. What’s more, it can be used for locating break points which an OTDR did not find.
