Water pH Meters
GAO’s water pH meters are devices that measure the acidity or basicity of water. pH is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution and ranges from 0 (most acidic) to 14 (most basic). A pH meter consists of a probe that is inserted into the water sample, and a meter that displays the pH reading. The probe of a pH meter contains a glass electrode that is sensitive to the concentration of hydrogen ions in the water. The electrode generates a voltage that is proportional to the pH of the water, which is then read by the meter and displayed as a numerical value.
