Dr. Broder has also worked at Saint Joseph’s University as an affiliate professor for over 17 years, where she teaches research evaluation and design. Before working as a freelance writer and speaker, Dr. Broder was the President of the Media Psychology and Technology Division of the American Psychological Association (APA), where she started the Device Management and Intelligence Committee. Dr.Broder also co-authored the Healthy Device Management & The Practice of Good Digital Citizenship – a book that strategizes optimally healthy relationships with technology, which will be published in 2021.
In her upcoming presentation, Dr. Broder will share her insights on how the technological advancements and increase in usage of social media has led to a change in ways people create and maintain relationships, and how this change has led people towards a tendency to overshare or interact on social media in situations when it is more appropriate to handle offline.
