Welcome to Cartrack’s fleet platform. Cartrack’s solution has everything you need to know about your fleet and drivers presented to you in real-time. It’s the who what when where and how of your activity. Who drove what vehicle, when and where it went, and how it was driven. Interact with and track your entire fleet using maps, lists, dashboards, reports, and alerts.

Upon login, your fleet is front and center. This map is your key to everything you need to know about your vehicles and drivers. The cluster feature groups vehicles in the same geographic location for easier overall viewing. Then, you can zoom in on a cluster to see individual details. The colors in the cluster and on the left panel indicate the status of each vehicle. As you can see here, the dark green vehicle is driving. When we click on that vehicle, we can view the mapped vehicle history for that day as well as the vehicle’s real-time status. Vehicle history is available in a rolling format for the date ranges selected. This view lets you quickly understand the usage and unscheduled usage of a vehicle during the past seven days. The timeline on the bottom of the screen gives the detailed events of the day with summary data points for the vehicle. Driver behavior infractions are highlighted in red. Additionally, we have charted data on road speeds, legal speed versus speed travel, as well as information like sensor data and RPMs. These charts can be extremely useful if you need to see speeding violations for a specific driver or if you want to track idling status for your long-haul trucks in order to optimize gas usage.

In the table view, we can drill down for additional event details. Here we see that this vehicle has 21 speeding events. Additionally, we can see events for harsh acceleration, harsh braking, harsh turning, or other events of note. Clicking on any of those alerts will bring us to the point in the trip where the event occurred. On your map, you can also view geofences landmarks, and points of interest. These are powerful location-based tools for understanding if your vehicles are leaving a job site, stopping at all the customers, or being driven outside of your business boundaries. In layers, we can turn displays of events or geofences on or off and even see live traffic and satellite views.

Now, let’s move over to the list view for vehicles. Here we can see data like recent activity or the last seven days, all vehicle details can be edited from here and thresholds for over the speed limit, monthly mileage limit, and maximum speed can be edited or set. Next up, let’s take a look at dashboards and reports. The dashboard’s widgets can be configured to view specific information measuring the overall health of your fleet. In this dashboard, we can see which vehicles need improvement based on their score, plus things like most visited points of interest and geofences. Reports are a useful way to view fleet data and can be customized to meet your needs. Make the system work for you by pushing you the exact data you require when you need it. Favorite any frequently used reports for easy access and schedule any upcoming reports to run at a set time. You can even set reports to be run automatically on a recurring schedule. Here, we’ve downloaded a driver scorecard report that has been emailed in PDF format.

Based on a number of factors including speed and harsh events, we’re able to give managers metrics on overall fleet performance as well as individual driving performance. This powerful information helps gain insight into your fleet and notifies you of areas and individuals that need improvement. Alerts can be set to notify you via email, text message, and RSS feeds to make you aware of any specific events you’d like to track. They are an excellent way to manage your fleet in real-time. For example, you may want to be notified of excessive idle time or when vehicles enter or exit a work area. Alerts are a great way to manage driver hours and status as well. You can even set alerts to notify you when vehicles are speeding over a certain threshold.

Let’s take a look at how to set an alert. Simply go to setup and select all of the criteria you would like to be notified about, it’s that easy. Finally, your account settings are located in the upper right corner of the page. View and edit profile information here and manage and add users. To create a user, simply select the blue add user button and set up profiles and permissions as needed.

Cartrack’s fleet platform is a powerful tool for tracking and understanding your fleet activity and it can be further configured to meet your specific needs. If you have any questions or would like more information please do not hesitate to contact us!
