They can also monitor their consumption in real-time with a simple mobile app. They can easily monitor any unusual consumption at any time. This empowers them to manage their electricity consumption and if the discom has the provision of prepaid electricity, consumers can recharge online or through the mobile app. There is a section that is supposed to take illegitimate means in the absence of regular provisions of connection. Innumerable weekly markets and slums fall in this category. The prepaid option would give them easy access.
