Description

Overview

The GAO-WTP-103 is designed to be used in regeneration of optical signals and transmission of rare fiber resources with various transmission distance at the rate of 10 Gbps and 155 Mbps ~ 2.5 Gbps. It provides cost-effective solutions for regeneration and transmission of optical signals using limited fiber resources. It works in the principle of optical-electrical-optical (OEO) to realize the amplification and wavelength conversion of optical signals.  It can transform 8 channels of optical signals in any protocol and at any rate in compliance with ITU-T G.694.1, G.694.2 or CWDM standard wavelength. This unit adopts wavelength division multiplexing technology by using CWDM/DWDM multiplexer/de-multiplexer. It is specially applied to optical transport systems of up to 155 M ~ 10 G/s SDH/SONET and Ethernet. It supports both DWDM and CWDM systems.

Features

  • Supports 3R function of optical signals at a rate ≤2.5 G.
  • For optical signals at a rate of 10 G, the 3R function can be realized by SFP+ module with CDR.
  • It adopts NRZ coding method.
  • Provides following monitoring functions at the client side and the WDM side: monitoring of bias current of the laser, monitoring of the operating temperature of the laser and monitoring of the optical power.
  • Supports loopback at the client side and WDM side.
  • 8SFP+ 10G 4-Channel SFP OTU Board can realize the relay of optical signals at any rate of 125Mbit/s ~ 10Gbit/s.
  • When no optical signal is received at the WDM side, the laser at the client side will be turned off, in order to avoid harm to human body. There is no automatic shutdown function of laser for the optical interface at the WDM side.
