Description
Overview
GAOTek dual fiber media convertor can convert Optical-Electric Ethernet signals between 32 ft (10 m) or 328 ft (100 m) or 0.62 mi (1000 m) UTP interface (TX) and 0.62 mi (1000 m) optical fiber interface (FX). The traditional (32 ft (10 m) or 328 ft (100 m) or 0.62 mi (1000 m) gigabit Ethernet can be extended to the distance of 37.28 mi (60 km) through optical fiber link. Media converters can be used anywhere in the network to integrate newer technology with existing equipment to support new applications, technologies and future growth. Instead of costly, across-the-board upgrades, media converters can extend the productive life of the existing cabling as well as the active equipment.
