Description
Overview
GAOTek Surface Contamination Detector for Radiation Monitoring is a portable surface pollution measuring instrument. The instrument uses a large-area double crystal detector, which can measure α and β at the same time. Surface contamination detector for radiation monitoring is mainly used to detect the surface contamination of the ground and tabletops in radioactive workplaces, as well as the contamination of workers’ hands, shoes, work clothes and other surfaces. This instrument can be used in nuclear medicine, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, nuclear waste treatment, nuclear power plants, environmental monitoring and military nuclear detection and other radiation detection. The instrument adopts a replaceable rechargeable lithium battery, a 3.5-inch wide viewing angle IPS bright LCD display, and a multi-button design, which is easy to operate and easy to use.
Features
- Capable of measuring α-, β-, and γ-contamination simultaneously or separately with shortcut key switches.
- ZnS + plastic scintillator dual crystal detector.
- Aluminum-plated polyester film on the probe membrane.
- Allows for background deduction and supports editing and adding up to 45 nuclides in its library.
- Sound and light alarm with LCD indication.
- Stores no less than 10,000 groups of data with power-off protection. Supports USB and optional wireless data transmission.
- Capable of switching between cps, Bq, and Bq/cm².
- Background counts are α < 0.2 cps, β ≤ 2.0 cps (with an environmental γ background of 0.20 μGy/h).
- α is lower than 0.028 Bq/cm², β is lower than 0.48 Bq/cm².
- Typical efficiency (2π) for Sr-90/Y-90(β) ≥ 40%, Cl-36(β) ≥ 20%, Am-241 (α) ≥ 35%.
- Relative inherent error better than ±10% and measurement repeatability better than ±10%.
- Adjustable within the measurement range.
- Operating temperature of -10°C to 40°C and working humidity ≤ 90% (at 35°C without condensation).
