Basic Operations
ON/OFF
Initial powering-on: open the battery handle and put in two 1# batteries. Short-press the power button to turn on the instrument. The display will automatically show the measurement interface, following the Welcome screen. Press the power button and hold for 3 s in the OFF state to turn on the instrument.
Backlight ON/OFF
Short-press Power/Backlight to enable the backlight. Then press it again to disable the backlight.
Start of Measurement
After start-up, the instrument will enter the auto-measurement status. Otherwise, short-press the Start button, leave the non-measurement status and enter the measurement status.
Parameter Change
Click the menu button [MENU/OK] to enter the menu interface.
Press [Start] to exit the menu and start measurement.
Measurement Time
Press the Up and Down buttons to change the average measurement time. Multiple options for average measurement time are provided from 1 s to 600 s. Press OK to confirm the selected time.
Data Management
The menu shows four options. Press Up and Down to choose from them. Press OK to enter the sub-menu.
View Data
No. Measured Value Measurement Time (MM/DD (hour):(minute))
If there are more than six entries, scroll the screen by pressing Up and Down.
Delete Data
Press Up and Down to select whether to delete data. Press OK to confirm the operation. About 880 entries of data can be saved in the data storage. When the storage is full, new data cannot be saved until historical data is deleted manually.
Data Save Mode
Manual saving: when the “Manually” mode is selected, the current sampled measurement data may be saved by short-pressing Down in the measurement status. The saving sign on the screen will flash during saving.
Auto saving: when the “Automatically” mode is selected, the saving sign will be on continuously. The instrument will automatically save the sampled data each time after sampling.
Unit
Press Up and Down to select the measurement unit.
Dose
The Dose interface displays the cumulative radiation dose and duration when the instrument is on.
Reset dose data: when Yes is selected, the cumulative dose data will be reset to zero. The instrument will start accumulation again. Deleted data resulted from this operation cannot be recovered.
Alarm Threshold
The instrument has two alarm threshold levels. Press Up and Down to select the alarm value to be modified. Press OK to start the modification. When the alarm value is displayed in the invert color, press Up and Down to modify it. After modification, press OK to confirm and exit the current modification. The alarm value of the following level can be modified. The alarm value of the second level should be greater than that of the first. The alarm sound of the second level should be longer than that of the first.
Alarm Mode
The instrument has three alarm modes: sound alarm, backlight alarm, and vibration alarm. Press Up and Down to select the mode to be modified and press OK to enter the selected option. Press Up and Down to select from ON and OFF and then confirm Alarm mode the selection.
Clock
The clock displays information in the following format: (hour):(minute):(second), YY/MM/DD. During modification, press OK and the “second” will be displayed in the invert color. Press Up and Down to modify the value. Then short-press OK again and the “minute” will be displayed in the invert color. Press Up and Down to modify the value. Modify the other values according to the above operations. After all the values are modified, press Start to return to the previous menu.
Contrast Adjust
The instrument is in the Normal mode by the factory setting. If the set contrast is not suitable for viewing, adjust it via this function. When the background of the display screen is dark, select Low; otherwise, select High.
