GAOTek handheld portable multi-gas detector is based on advanced infrared and electrochemical technology for measuring 100% LEL, 1000 ppm CO, 30% O2, and 100 ppm H2S concentration, with optional H2, CO, and gas flow items.
The multi-gas detector adopts dual infrared sensors and internal electrochemical sensors for easy maintenance in daily operation. Its non-thermostat container design and special correction method greatly eliminate the temperature impact on infrared sensors.
The multi-gas detector will provide a percent by volume reading of the methane (100% CH4) and carbon dioxide (100% CO2) levels. The oxygen (30% O2) readings on the detector may be useful in determining if there is an inbound air leak in the collection system. A portable multi-gas detector equipped with a carbon monoxide analyzer may be useful for detecting a subsurface fire. Based on these results, adjustments or repairs can be made to restore safe conditions and optimize the heating value of the gas produced.
