SFP BIDI Transceivers
GAO Tek’s fiber optic SFP BIDI (Bi-Directional) transceivers are compact optical modules used in fiber optic communications. They enable bidirectional communication over a single fiber by using different wavelengths for upstream and downstream transmission. With a TX (transmit) and RX (receive) port, these transceivers are commonly employed in situations where fiber availability or cost is a concern. Our fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers utilize wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology to transmit and receive data over a single fiber, making them useful in telecommunications, data centers, and other networking applications.
GAO Tek’s fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers are composed of an optoelectronic transmitter, optoelectronic receiver, wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) Filter, laser diode and photodiode, control and monitoring electronics, and connector interface.
The other common names of SFP BIDI transceivers are SFP BIDI modules, SFP BIDI optics, SFP BIDI transmitters, SFP BIDI receivers, SFP BIDI fiber transceivers, SFP BIDI gigabit transceivers, SFP BIDI single-fiber modules, SFP BIDI bidirectional transceivers, SFP BIDI WDM transceivers, SFP BIDI mini-GBICs, SFP BIDI bi-directional modules, SFP BIDI simplex transceivers, SFP BIDI compact transceivers, SFP BIDI DDM transceivers, and SFP BIDI LC transceivers.

GAO Tek’s fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers have the following functions:
- Bi-Directional Communication: GAO’s fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers enable bidirectional communication over a single fiber. They transmit and receive data using different wavelengths, allowing for simultaneous upstream and downstream communication.
- Optical Signal Transmission: Our fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers convert electrical signals into optical signals using a laser diode. The optical signals are then transmitted over the fiber optic cable.
- Optical Signal Reception: GAO’s fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers include a photodiode that receives incoming optical signals from the fiber optic cable and converts them back into electrical signals for further processing.
- Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM): Our fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers utilize WDM technology, which enables the transmission and reception of different wavelengths over the same fiber. This allows for bidirectional communication without the need for separate fiber strands.
- Data Rate and Protocol Support: Our fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers are available in various data rates and support different protocols, such as Ethernet, Fiber Channel, and SONET/SDH. They can handle different transmission speeds and are compatible with specific network equipment and standards.
GAO Tek’s fiber optic SFP BIDI transceivers are rugged, versatile and precision measurement instruments. They comply with applicable industry standards such as SFP MSA, IEEE 802.3 Standards, ITU-T G.652 and G.657 Recommendations, fiber channel standards, and RoHS Compliance.
