LCR Meters

GAO’s electrical LCR meters are electronic devices used to measure the inductance (L), capacitance (C), and resistance (R) of electronic components such as capacitors, inductors, and resistors. GAO electrical LCR meters work by applying an AC voltage or current to the component being measured and then measuring the resulting current or voltage. The instrument then uses this information to calculate the component’s LCR values. Our electrical LCR meters typically have a variety of measurement modes and ranges, allowing them to measure a wide range of components accurately.

GAO’s electrical LCR meters are composed of source, signal conditioning circuitry, measurement circuitry, display, input and output connectors, control circuitry, and power supply.

LCR meters are also called impedance analyzers, impedance meters, component analyzers, component testers, RLC meters, LCZ meters, Q meters, phase angle meters, ESR meters, vector impedance meters, network analyzers, electrical parameter testers, inductance-capacitance-resistance analyzers, component characterization devices, passive component analyzers, complex impedance meters, electrical component testers, electrical parameter analyzers, passive network analyzers and multi-functional LCR bridges.

GAO Tek’s electrical LCR meters have the following functions:

  • Quality factor (Q) measurement: GAO’s electrical LCR meters can measure the quality factor of a component, which is a measure of the component's energy loss.
  • Equivalent series resistance (ESR) measurement: GAO electrical LCR meters can measure the equivalent series resistance of a component, which is a measure of the resistance in series with a component's ideal capacitance or inductance.
  • Test frequency selection: GAO Tek electrical LCR meters can be set to test a component at a specific frequency or range of frequencies.
  • Automatic range selection: Our electrical LCR meters can automatically adjust their measurement range based on the component being tested.
  • Data logging: GAO’s electrical LCR meters can store measurement data for later analysis.
  • Comparison mode: GAO Tek electrical LCR meters can compare measured values to preset or user-defined values, indicating pass/fail status.

GAO Tek’s electrical LCR meters are rugged, versatile and precision measurement instruments. They comply with applicable industry standards such as IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-4, IEC 61000-4-5, IEC 61000-4-6, IEC 61000-4-11, IEC 61010-1, and IEC 61326-1.
