SFP+ DWDM Transceivers 

GAO’s DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) transceivers are optical modules used in high-speed data communication networks. SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable) is a compact, hot-pluggable transceiver module commonly used in ethernet, fiber channels, and other networking applications. Our SFP+ DWDM transceivers are designed to operate with DWDM systems and can transmit and receiving data over long distances. These transceivers typically support a range of wavelengths, such as the itu-t grid, which consists of 40 or 80 channels spaced at regular intervals (e.g., 100 GHz or 50 GHz).   

GAO’s SFP+ DWDM transceivers are composed of a transmitter, receiver, optical interface, control and monitoring electronics, EEPROM, and housing.

GAO’s SFP+ DWDM transceivers have the following functions: 

  • Data Transmission: GAO’s SFP+ DWDM transceivers are responsible for transmitting data over optical fibers. They convert electrical signals from networking equipment into optical signals that can be transmitted over long distances using DWDM technology.
  • Wavelength Multiplexing: Our SFP+ DWDM technology allows for the multiplexing of multiple optical signals with different wavelengths onto a single fiber. SFP+ DWDM transceivers enable this functionality by using specific wavelengths assigned to each channel. They transmit data on the assigned wavelength, which is separated and demultiplexed at the receiving end.
  •  Long-Distance Connectivity: GAO Tek's SFP+ DWDM transceivers are designed to support long-distance transmission. They can transmit data over significant fiber lengths, ranging from several kilometers to tens of kilometers or more, depending on the specific transceiver and system configuration.
  •  Compatibility and Interoperability: GAO’s SFP+ DWDM transceivers adhere to industry-standard specifications, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with a wide range of networking equipment, including switches, routers, and other devices that support SFP+ interfaces. This allows for flexibility and ease of integration within existing network infrastructures.
  • Network Capacity Expansion: Our SFP+ DWDM transceivers contribute to expanding the network capacity by enabling the transmission of multiple data streams simultaneously over a single fiber. They comply with applicable industry standards such as  SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable), MSA (multi-source agreement), ITU-T G.694.2 (international telecommunication union - telecommunication standardization sector) for DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexing) systems, IEEE 802.3, RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances directive), and MSA (multi-source agreement) for specific SFP+ transceiver modules.
