This smart Gigabit Ethernet converter, model C0310002, extends the connection distance between two Gigabit Ethernet devices via fiber cable transparently without performance degradation. It complies with IEEE802.3z standard and is RoHS compliant. The data transmission rate is 2000 Mbps in full-duplex mode and 1000 Mbps in half-duplex mode. With a SFP (Mini-GBIC) connector design, the media converter not only supports existing variety of multimode and single mode fibers, but also preserves the flexibility to adapt to any changes in the fiber network. This converter allows for center chassis installation with optional power redundancy and management features for fiber optic networks. It is backward compatible with 10M, 100M and 10/100M equipment. The converter is an ideal solution for multimode, short reach up to long reach single mode fiber, Bi-Di and CWDM applications. In addition, this converter is certified FCC Part 15 Class A & CE.
