1. Brief Introduction:
   The technology parameter of GAOTek-GLS-103 is complete according to state standard GB9754-88、GB9966.5 and international standard ISO2813, all items of the performance meet the first-class work requirements of state JJG696-2002 (Lens Luster Degree Instrument Measure Test Regulations).

5. Display Instructions:

6. Direction:

Press the “key” (on the side of the gauge) to start the gauge. The gauge display “calibrate?”, take the gauge into the calibration-case, and press the “key” to confirm adjustment operation, the gauge will distinguish the state board automatic and there is buzz sound to prompt, when “calibrate ok” display on the screen, 2 seconds later, the gauge is on “working condition”, and the screen display “ready”.
Take the gauge away from the calibration-case, and put the gauge on the measured object, appoint the measure window to the measured object, press the “key”, the gauge begin to measure, the luster value of the measured object will display on the screen while there is buzz sound.1 minute later, if there isn’t any other operation, the gauge will turn off automatically, or press the “key” until display nothing then release it, the gauge will turn off.

7. The Display of the Menu:

When the gauge is in working condition, press the key until display “SET MENU” then release it, the gauge is on menu-setting, the display is as below:
The cursor (Anti explicit state) is circling on the menu, when the cursor is on the option, press the “key”, and you can perform the option.

8. Modify the Calibration Value:

If you want to replace the stand board (black quartz crystal board), and you have to modify the calibration value. On the main menu, when the cursor is shown on “Change CAL”, press the “key”, the gauge is on “Modify the calibration value” and the screen show “Change CAL?”, if you need to modify the calibration value, press “key” to confirm and begin to perform the process, (if you needn’t modify, don’t to do anything, 2 seconds later, the gauge return the working condition). after you press the key, and the new calibration value in the order of 20°60°85°to set. When the new calibration value was confirmed, the setting (modify the calibration value) will be finished and the gauge will be on working condition.

9. Setting Time:

On the main menu, when the cursor shows on “Set time”, press the “key”, and begin to set time, the cursor indicator is where you want to modify, when the data is changed to the predetermined value, press the “key” to confirm. And the cursor moves to the next position, if press the “key” twice, the cursor moves to the last position repeating the process and finished the setting time.

10. Matters Required Attention:
    • It should avoid strong light direct radiation, or it will affect the measurement precision.
    • The standard board of the gauge should be kept clean, please do not touch the surface with fingers. If there is dirt on the surface, the measured precision will be affected. Wipe it with a lens cloth or absolute alcohol.
    • When the battery is less than 20%, which needs to change the battery. Open the battery cover, replace the old battery with the new one, please pay attention to the joint line polarity.
    • The battery should be changed when it runs up, otherwise, it stored for a long time may flow the liquid which causes damage to the instrument. It should be taken out and keep proper if it is not used for a long time.
