Nortel Compatible 1000Base-SX SFP Transceiver with High Speed I/O

Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. has announced the release of its Nortel compatible 1000Base-SX SFP transceiver which is designed for multi-mode fiber. This transceiver is specially suited for Gigabit Ethernet, fiber channel, switch to switch interface and high speed I/O for file servers.

This Nortel compatible 1000Base-SX SFP transceiver, model C01HP101, operates at a nominal wavelength of 850 nm. It provides a high operating data rate of up to 1.25 Gbps. It also provides standard AC coupled CML for high speed signal and LVTTL control and monitoring of signals. This transceiver features a hot-pluggable SFP footprint, duplex LC connector, low power dissipation and RoHS compliance.

This small form factor optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter uses an 850 nm VCSEL laser; the receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. It provides a transmission distance up to 550 m on 50/125 μm MMF and up to 300 m on 62.5/125 μm MMF. In addition, the transceiver is compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and SFF-8472.

This Nortel compatible 1000Base-SX SFP transceiver belongs to GAO’s family of NORTEL Compatible Optical Transceivers. This line also includes Nortel Compatible 1000Base-T GBIC Copper Transceiver which adheres to Gigabit Ethernet IEEE 802.3 and 1000BASE-T standards and provides a quick and reliable interface for Gigabit Ethernet applications, Nortel Compatible 1000Base-T SFP Transceiver which supports1000 Mbps full duplex data-links with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signals and Nortel Compatible 1000Base-ZX SFP Transceiver which is designed for single-mode fiber (SMF) and operates at a nominal wavelength of 1550 nm.
